FAIRHAVEN, MA — Marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, Aria Andrade, an Ambassador with Project 351 and grade 9 student at Fairhaven High School, has created a Tribute Stone Garden to honor the lives lost during the 2001 9/11 tragedy.
The garden features 206 small pebbles symbolizing every Massachusetts resident lost on 9/11. At the center of the tribute are 15 hand-painted rocks dedicated specifically to local individuals from Fairhaven and surrounding Massachusetts communities. The memorial honors fallen heroes. "Working alongside family, friends, and school administrators was vital to bringing this memorial to life," said Ms. Andrade. "Thank you to our community for supporting another impactful project in my Project 351 journey."
