Integrated Preschool

Fairhaven Public Schools offer integrated preschool classes for children between the ages of three and five who require special education programming. Typically developing neighborhood children are also enrolled to provide strong and appropriate peer modeling.

The district values inclusion as the optimal approach for educating children with disabilities. Students with and without disabilities benefit from this philosophy, as the classes provide a rich, language-based curriculum using a multi-sensory, developmental approach. Fairhaven Public Schools are strongly committed to helping all children develop self-respect, positive peer relationships, self-control, and friendships based on mutual respect.
