RFP - School Food Service Management

This Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Fairhaven Public Schools (SFA) is to secure the provision of goods and/or services from qualified food service management companies (FSMCs) for the management and operation of the food service program for Fairhaven Public Schools specified in Exhibit H. The SFA has determined that in order to select the most advantageous proposal, comparative judgments of technical factors in addition to price using a Request For Proposals (RFP) is necessary. The School Food Service Program will be designed to be self-sustaining and will incur no cost the SFA. 

Competitive sealed proposals are invited in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws c. 30B. Procedures under this request require separate and confidential submission of pricing and a separate submission of a technical proposal. Technical proposals will be evaluated by a committee without knowledge of prices. The committee will determine the most advantageous proposal after taking into consideration the evaluation of technical proposals made by the committee together with a consideration of prices.

Permission to distribute this RFP in any form (paper or electronic) for any purpose other than to respond to this RFP by a FSMC is not granted without the knowledge of the SFA. The FSMC may not use this document to provide procurement guidance to other clients. This RFP is written specifically to meet the operational needs of The Fairhaven Public Schools.  

If it becomes necessary to revise any part of the RFP or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all addresses that received copies of this original request. A pre-proposal conference is not available, however, the district will entertain questions in writing via email.  Any questions pertaining to this Request for Proposal are to be submitted by 11:00 AM on February 1, 2021 and directed to: Nicole Potter, School Business Manager. (  Please label the documents as: 1- Technical Proposal  2 - Price Proposal.  Edits for changes to this document or the form Agreement must use “Track Changes” feature and be printed showing all language and format changes.
